Splash!
That was literally the one most relevant sound one could hear around the area all of a sudden, and water drops flew all around the area and spared none of the rocks or grass around. Thankfully no one else was in the area, no one else except a big tall Saiyan that found himself lying upon the gentle currents of a stream that passed by, thankfully it was no big river or whatever, it was only water that fell down upon the hills all the way down to probably a lake, he was not sure honestly, neither did he care to at the moment.
Rather he stayed frozen in the water, for quite a few moments when his mind needed the time to actually process the fact that somehow he had managed to really fall, just like that but how? In truth the man knew how he had actually managed to do so, it was not like it was a mystery the fact that as of late his sleep got even worse to the point where the eyebags were slightly more visible than usual and somehow he managed to black out in that precise spot, but that was only mere luck… or misfortune rather.
From his vocal chords, a lament was born, one that channeled all its strength and frustration out in the form of, ultimately, a sigh when he realized that now his clothes were wet and he was sleepy, not a great combination considering the fact that the forests could grow windy. Thus the man slammed his hands into the ground below and pushed himself up, his gaze while earlier it used to be blurry, now it had cleared a little probably given the fact that he had soaked his face with fresh water.
“I must look so stupid right now.”
He chuckled to himself, somewhat in self awareness given the fact that there was no other way to look at this. How dumb had he to look like right now, a strong and powerful alien of a warrior species that was unrivaled when it came to battle or so they said, victim to an everyday man’s mistake. Yet, he figured that this time the man actually deserved it. It was not just his sleep that had gotten worse, it was his very determination to grow stronger that had grown out of control. In truth not only did the man find trouble sleeping, but he had been going nonstop the entire night before swinging his sword, in search of further improvement.
And well, this was starting to take its toll of course. Not only could he barely sleep but he spent most of his awake time training nowadays, he was not even traveling so much, he did not even have enough time between one session and another. The number one priority had become his training and that was it, there had to be nothing else until… until what? Until he would be comfortable enough not to worry about it again? Did it really work like that? It was not like other people would just stop growing stronger, so… where did it end?
He was probably looking at things from the wrong angle, and yet even now while he walked towards one of the nearby trees, Nasu began to figure out that he needed a break. He could not always just push his limits, otherwise he would end up broken. That was not going to help him, not at all. The man probably had to find a good pace and then just slowly increase it as he went, he could not just go all out right away.
“Best fix myself first, though.”
And then he would have tried to sleep, once he walked up to a tree he used his sword to cleave it down with a few well packed swings straight into the trunk, until it fell. Then he managed to chop enough wood and gathered it away, using his ki to blast it and create a firecamp, and then the man just sat next to it, and allowed his outfit to grow warmer. Getting dry was his priority then he would have figured out what to do next, but he probably needed to nap before he collapsed again, and thus he just looked around idly. Perhaps only now just trying to figure out what taking a break really was about.

"Aaaaah~!" Terra sighed, wiping the sweat off her brow. IT WAS FINISHED! The majin stood before a whoooole patch of trees she had just freshly grown, a lot of her own magic expended in raising them from their acorns! It woulda been borderline impossible, she mused, looking over her handiwork, had it not been for the fertility of the land! She had thought this place could use some more traditional trees to go along with the reedy pipework of the bamboo stalks. As pretty and unique as they were, sometimes it was good to have some variety, to allow other things to grow alongside what traditionally was born here.
...At least, Terra thought so! There was no harm in introducing foreign species to a new environment, right? What could THAT possibly do? NOTHING... at least as far as the child could fathom! ...But Terra could bask in her achievement for too long, you see, for the majin had heard some strange sounds in the distance! If she listened close, past all the birds chirping and leaves rustling, the majin picked up on the soft THUNK of metal CUTTING into wood. ...She frowned... Someone was cutting down HER trees...? Listening in closer, two more THUNKs would follow... then the low, guttural groan of a tree being severed from its roots! ...It was almost heart-breaking, that sound, bark and fresh wood bending and snapping under its own cut-open body! ...This would not stand... SHE JUST GREW THESE! She wasn't about to let somebody undo her work and hurt her trees! Gathering her energy into her legs, Terra would shoot through the small micro-forest she had grown, breaking through some bamboo to find... a stump... and puddles of water nearby. The Majin narrowed her eyes, letting out a soft grunt of annoyance. It hadn't rained recently and the ground wasn't indented enough to draw in water. Someone must've been swimming a minute ago... or fell into a river or something. Either way, THAT'S who took her tree! Terra kept her eyes out for puddles and footprints left behind by the stranger, tracking them to... A campsite!
...Well, a campsite, minus the tents, the hotdogs and the fluffy marshamallows! There sat a wet man... a wet SWORD-man, judging by his weapon, sitting before a severed tree-trunk sliced and diced and then SET ON FIRE to be made into a hearth. By all intents and purposes, he seemed to be minding his own business, doing his best to warm up after taking a dip...
Except... he took her tree.
"HEY!" Terra proclaimed, pointing at the stranger! "WHY YOU TAKE MY TREE!? I JUST GREW TREE! IT FOR EVERYBODY!"

Finally the man could possibly find a wink of sleep in all of this. He had already pretty much spent the rest of the week training. He did not remember exactly when he began such ferocious training, his mind was kind of cloudy and his thought process had become hazy by all accounts but probably it was elaborate enough to allow him the simplest actions such as making himself a firecamp. Of course whether that was simple or not, it depended on the individual; for Nasu it was simple, he had done this thousands of times whenever he had to sleep and rest, to the point where even now he could remember his teachers instructing him on how to make one.
Even now, when he sat in the middle of nowhere with nothing else but his fire, those moments came back to life. They were brief, and few winks of course between his eyes that slowly sought to embrace the darkness so that he could rest properly and within those peaceful moments he witnessed those few that had first brought him along this journey. Men and women that were not gone, at least as far as he knew and would probably welcome him back if he was to return.
But what would have been the meaning? He left to find himself and in the end he would return without having found a thing if not far more questions than he left with? What was even the meaning of all this, why was he wasting his time with this? What was a proper way to spend time… what could he do?
In the meanwhile, a strange noise began to manifest itself from the distance. It was not something that Nasu either recognized or really paid much mind to, for him it could be anything, but the more time passed and the more it felt like footsteps rather than just any noise. Nasu was not worried, though, not until somebody literally screamed nearly in his ears and had him open his eyes wide open and his body to stumble back against the trunk’s base. His heartbeat was strangely accelerated, he had literally caught a big spook. Did his instincts fail him to anticipate a possible threat or did they just not see a threat to begin with?
Anyhow once the fear from the jumpscare settled aside, his eyes looked over the stranger and found a Majin child. The world was just strangely full of these creatures apparently, way more than he thought since he met them pretty much anywhere at this point. His head hurt somewhat, both from the stress and the lack of sleep and therefore he wondered if he even had the energy to tell the kid anything about it. While it was tempting to just close his eyes again and ignore her, he figured he could at least answer.
“...You said it, though. It is for everybody and I took it because I needed some fire to get dry before I would fall sick. That is all. How can you even grow trees in the first place? Magic?”
He eyed her with a little doubt in his gaze, but of course he had also met Ayu so he did not find that impossible to believe but… why was everyone suddenly able to manipulate nature? The most magical thing he could do was… nothing.

"You not everybody!" Terra stated, REVERSING THE REVERSAL the stranger tried to throw back on her! "You chop tree, tree die, now nobody enjoy tree! Now it just... burn wood!" The saiyan didn't seem to concerned whith his transgression, though, more perplexed as to how Terra could even MAKE the forest grow in the first place! The little girl huffed, crossing her hands across her chest, her sanguine eyes glaring down at Nasu with disappointment. She had learned that look well from her Auntie whenever, on the odd occasion, Terra messed up BADLY or, sometimes, when her Momma got a LITTLE too into her training outside and blew something up she wasn't supposed to. It wasn't hard to emulate that look, of her Auntie projecting sheer disappointment down upon the man... She wanted him to know JUST what she was feeling, to DRIVE that point home before she answered his question!
"Magic, yup." Terra explained, holding up her hand. Vines would sprout up from just inside Terra's dress, weaving in a double-helix pattern up her arm and over her hand, extending out slightly like a new pair of fingers! She had seen her Auntie do this trick a DOZON times before and she had been waiting for SO LONG to test it out on someone! It looked like she had gotten her chance this day! "I make plant grow! Wanted to make tree grow here since so much 'baaaam-booooo' grow all over place! Make it look nicer!" Terra then glanced down at the firepit the stranger had dug, frowned, then looked back up at him.
"Now have to grow ALL NEW TREE to make up for this one! It hard work to grow tree! They all big and heavy and stuff!" Terra LIFTED her hands over her head as if to simulate a tree BURSTING up from the ground! "It not easy!" The stranger seemed to look at her doubtfully, as if he couldn't exactly BELIEVE something she'd said. Terra's eye twitched in irritation! While Nasu might've simply been expressing his disbelief in all the green-growing magic going around recently, Terra took it to mean that he didn't believe her, that she had been making all this up! Normally happy and go-lucky, was FRUSTRATED that she was just being... well... IGNORED here! The guy chopped down her tree, then gave her this skeptical 'Really...?' look when she called him out!?
Terra would extend her arms, suddenly causing giant vines to EXPLODE from the ground where the man's firepit burned, spraying ashes, dirt, and embers wildly in his direction! PROOF... She was not making this up!
